ANNAPURNA SANCTUARY TREK
Into the Heart of the Annapurna Range
18 days - Huge Himalayan Peaks - Traditional Culture - Picturesque Villages
The Annapurna area was first explored by British Colonel James O.M. ‘Jimmy' Roberts in the year 1956 and brought the world's attention to this ‘Sanctuary of Gods'. This trek passes through a diverse range of climate, vegetation and cultural zones. From lush vegetation of rain and temperate forests to the alpine environment of the Sanctuary, each day on this trek offers something different. Picturesque villages, set among the terraced fields, make an attractive foreground for the magnificent snow capped peaks of the Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges. This trek combines spectacular mountain scenery with a unique cultural diversity. The Sanctuary, with its immense walls of stone, really is a mountain fortress. Once inside, you will be in the midst of the great snow peak of Annapurna I (8,091m).
