DHAULAGIRI AND ANNAPURNA CIRCUIT TREK
A Challenging Circuit Around the World's Highest Mountains
30 days - The French Col and Thorong La Pass - Hidden Valley - Unique Itinerary

Mount Dhaulagiri
This is an extended and strenuous trek, through the picturesque villages, high alpine meadows, remote valleys and over the high passes of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. In order to allow for a proper acclimatization schedule, we begin this unique journey trekking along the mighty Marsyangdi River, making our way gradually up through the lower rice growing valleys to the higher potato and buck wheat fields of Manang. After spending time exploring the monasteries of this Buddhist region, we begin our climb to the high 4,000 meter plateaus of Yak Kharka and then make a crossing of the 17,765 foot Thorong La Pass. These days spent trekking on the Annapurna Circuit provide the necessary acclimatization and fitness building we will need to continue into the remote and high valleys of the Dhaulagiri region. Our trek now leads us into the high Hidden Valley, over the French Col (16,730 feet) to Dhaulagiri Base Camp from where magnificent mountain vistas are available.

The Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Circuit Trek is part of our Epic Himalayan Journey Series! These trips represent the gourmet trekking offerings of the great Himalayan Range. Please contact us with any questions or to receive a detailed trip itinerary.
