EVEREST BASE CAMP TREK
Trekking in the shadow of the World's Highest Peak
17 days - Rich Buddhist Culture - Traditional Sherpa Villages - Kala Patar
The Mount Everest region is undoubtedly the most famous in the world. This spectacular trekking destination is reached via a scenic flight to Lukla. The trail from Lukla heads north passing through many picturesque farming villages en route to the world's highest snow capped peaks. The highest point of our trip is atop the hikers summit of Kala Pattar (18,188 feet), where our hard effort is awarded with outstanding panoramic views of Everest, its glaciers and the surrounding giant peaks of Lhotse and Nuptse. Our Everest Base Camp itinerary is both a scenic and cultural adventure in the famous Khumbu region. We include all the highlights of the Everest National Park including Namche Bazaar (the Khumbu's Sherpa capital), the Buddhist monasteries of Pangboche and Thyangboche and, of course, a visit to the ever-exciting Everest Base Camp.
