General Adventure Trip Information

Traveling with an organized group
If you are planning to the remote mountain areas of the Himalayas, it just makes sense to join an organized group. By doing this, you can avoid the time-consuming and often frustrating process of making the arrangements by yourself and, in the long run, you'll probably save money as well. Another advantage of joining an organized group is that you get the assistance of a knowledgeable Local and/or Western guide and the back-up of an experienced local agent. Also, you will possibly be joining a group of people from all other parts of the world.

What to expect...
Standards of Service
Local and/or Western leadership, vast trip experience and a close working relationship with our overseas travel agencies. Our standards of service are comparable with any others in the business. We try to make every effort to ensure that you enjoy your travel experiences to the fullest. While you are meeting the local people, taking in the scenery or pausing to take a photograph, your support crew will be working in the background, carrying your gear, boiling drinking water, preparing your meals, setting up camp and taking care of numerous day to day tasks. You will be camping in relative style and you can expect to be very comfortable - our agents use top quality tents and equipment. Our groups stay in generally comfortable local hotels and lodges.
Your Safety
Your safety is our highest priority and this is one of the reasons why we send a Local and /or Western leader on all of our trips. Additionally, there is also available back-up and rescue facilities in each of the areas we visit.
Food and Health on the trip
On trek, we make sure that food is always expertly and hygienically prepared. Good health makes for an enjoyable trek and is of prime concern to us. We generally eat a mixture of local and Western-style food, and you will be amazed by the quality and variety of the dishes that our cooks can produce. We are accustomed to catering for vegetarians and make a special effort to provide as much variety as possible.
Our Office Staff
The folks making up the staff of One World Trekking are among the most knowledgeable and experienced in the business of Himalayan travel. For the last 20 plus years, we have organized and guided the travel arrangements for countless groups and expeditions throughout the Himalayan Lands. This includes scheduling the the logistics of our set date departures, as well as creating custom and private group itineraries. Please don't hesitate to email or call.
Trek Leaders
100% of our trips are accompanied by either a Local and / or Western trekking leader.
Baggage Allowance on Trek
You need to make sure that the weight of your personal equipment packed into your trekking duffle bag to a maximum of 33 pounds (27.5 pounds for Pakistan treks).
A Typical Day
While on trek, our walking hours are governed by the sun. Depending on the day ahead, breakfast is taken not long after the sun has risen (and sometimes well before). The morning's hike is around 3 to 4 hours, before stopping for lunch. We walk for a further 2 to 4 hours, and attempt to reach our camping place by mid to late afternoon. After setting up camp, there is usually time to rest or to explore, prior to the evening meal, at around 7 p.m. As the nights are typically cold, most people opt to brush their teeth and hop into their warm sleeping bags.
Camping Facilities
For the majority of our trekking trips our overseas agents supply roomy two-man tents with protective groundsheets. An eating tent, cook's tent, latrine tent, stools, plates, cutlery etc. are all provided.
Visas
You will need to obtain a visa for the trips we are offering. Please see each individual trip itinerary or call us for further details.
Trip Payments
Currently, we do not accept credit cards. We will accept personal and cashiers checks for your deposit and final balance.
