Hello and welcome to autumn!

During the last week of September the first of our groups departed for Nepal and Bhutan, officially kicking off our 24^th
fall trekking season in the Himalayas!

We love to brag about all of our amazing adventures, such as the epic journey into Upper Dolpo which follows the route taken by Peter Matthiessen in his famous book The Snow Leopard or our new trek into Nepal’s Tsum Valley, one of the eight sacred spiritual refuges of the Himalayas.

Where will you be on Christmas Day?

Want to do something a bit different this Christmas Holiday? How about spending December 25th visiting the Mount Everest Base Camp at 17,000 feet or hiking to the Himalayan fortress of the Annapurna Sanctuary! Yeah, it'll be cold in the mornings and nights, but remember that these are lodge treks so you'll be sleeping indoors (no camping). Depending on the elevation, the December daytime temperatures will typically range from the upper 60s down to the 40s with night time temps dropping into the 20s and colder. Sunshine, warm days, blue skies and little in the way of crowds is usually the norm. Bring a down jacket and your sense of adventure! The $400 discount mentioned above does apply to all Christmas Holiday departures!
